Litho & Digital Print Finisher – (30hours)

Salary dependent on experience
Sherwin Rivers Ltd require and experienced print finisher to work within our busy digital and litho departments. Experience in setting up and operation of guillotine, folder and stitcher are required well as other ancillary finishing equipment.
Good time keeping, attention to detail, diligence and dexterity is key and the candidate must be able to work at speed, All candidates must be fit and active to be considered for this role.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ Years experience of print finishing in a commercial print setting
- A thorough working knowledge of the print processes, including digital and ltho print
Key Personal Skills
- You must be self-motivated and well organised
- You must be able to work both independently and collaboratively
- You will need to integrate well into a small team
- Demonstrate use of own initiative and when necessary with minimal creative direction
- Full, Clean Driving Licence
- A forklift licence would be an advantage
- You should be a proactive team player with a positive can-do attitude

Graphic Designer & Digital Print Apprentice

Newcastle-under-Lyme College
Sherwin Rivers Ltd is now looking for an enthusiastic graphic design student or school leaver with an interest in design and advertising to join our creative team based in Staffordshire. We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic creative young person to join our busy studio and dedicated print shop – the job has fantastic prospects for the successful candidate.
This opportunity is offered by Sherwin Rivers Ltd through an apprenticeship in Graphic Design at Newcastle-under-Lyme College (day release) at Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Design or Level 2 Certificate in Design (QCF).
The role will involve creating design and artwork for a broad spectrum of commercial and private sector work including; logo design, stationery, marketing material, large format artwork for vehicle wraps, roller banners and exhibition stands – whilst learning to operate digital and large format print systems on a range of modern xerox, roland and graphitec print and production machines.

We are looking for a talented graphic designer and creative artworker to join our busy studio – the job has fantastic prospects for an enthusiastic and hardworking person.
The role requires design and artwork for a broad spectrum of creative work including; logo design, stationery and marketing material, large format artwork for vehicle wraps, roller banners and exhibition stands etc – you will be expected to oversee projects from concept to production liaising with clients and colleagues.

- A thorough working knowledge of Creative Cloud including InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop on a Mac platform
- An understanding of print production considerations such as; image resolution and the fundamentals of print processes to prepare files for pre-press production
- Experience in running Xerox digital printing presses and Roland large format machines
- A creative thinker who can develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts
- Strong artwork skills with excellent attention to detail
